It’s a Josper - a Spanish super hot charcoal oven - only 9 restaurants in the UK have one - and happily, we are the first in Ireland.
The oven gets up to 900 degrees, so it’s not a good idea to stand too close when it’s opened, the heat is so intense you will jump backwards! Clearly, this isn’t a normal oven, and the quality of the food produced from it is far from normal too. Such intense heat and the charcoal coals produce fantastic charred perfectly rare steaks, tender and smoky fish and tender bright orange mussels. That’s how we follow our dream and keep it simple, and how you can taste the best meat, fish and produce Kerry has to offer, cooked perfectly every time.
